Russian Women Letter Writing Tips

Author: Joseph Carducci Tuesday, January 24, 2006

Almost every man who is involved in the process of finding and meeting a Russian (or Former Soviet Union woman—FSU) woman, has, thought about, or will write letters at some point. It is important that we learn to do this well. I understand that many of us are not natural writers, yet it is a skill that can be learned. I actually failed some of my high school English and composition classes—yet I have overcome this and even written several books, manuals and a whole host of articles! Let me show you how to write letters that will attract the attention of a FSU woman!

Tips:

Numbers—Be prolific. Write to as many women as possible. The more letters you write, the better your chances of finding success. Please read my manual for more detailed explanation of the reasons why. However, understand that not every woman will respond to you! Maybe only 1-2 for every 10 letters you send. Maybe only 20-30% of the women who actually respond to your initial letter will continue on with correspondence for more than 3 or 4 letters. Why? Unfortunately there are many reasons for this. Maybe those ladies who stop correspondence were also writing to other guys. Then she decided that some of the other men were better suited for her. Maybe one of the other men promised to come meet her, and she thought it best to concentrate her efforts only on him? Or maybe you said something that she did not like, or understood in the wrong way and was offended? Yes, this does happen. For whatever reason, this has been my experience that a good 20-30% of your initial response will fade away relatively quickly. Just accept it and move on.

Photos—Do not place too much importance on her photos. Chances are she will look different in person. The good news is most FSU women look much better in person than in photos! So do you, probably—just look at your driver’s license! I have said this before: do not fall in love with a photo! There are just too many variables. It could be an old picture and reflect very little of what she actually looks like now.

Records & Copies—Keep records of the letters you write and to whom you write them. This could be a folder on your computer or a filing cabinet in your office. Whatever works for you. Just have a system so that you can keep track of (and remember) what you said and to whom you said it! Trust me, this can get complicated once you are writing to more than 3 or 4 ladies! Also keep track of phone conversations and how often you have called. I am serious about this! Keep notes whenever you have a phone conversation so that you can remember what you asked her, and what her responses were. You can also write down your impressions of the conversation (as well as those of the interpreter and maybe even the name of the interpreter you used). Sometimes a woman will become upset with you if you ask her the same questions; this method will prevent that (but it is generally a good idea to ask a few of the same questions in different ways—just to make sure her answers are consistent).

More Photos—In your first letter always enclose one of your photos. A good idea is a nice head and shoulders shot, or one of you in a nice restaurant or near a river. Do not include a picture of your house or car or other material possessions. That would be a big turn-off for the ladies—unless you want to find a gold digger. Most of the honest ladies want to find out about you and your life. Most importantly, they desire to know what is important to you. They are concerned primarily with your "internal world;" how you feel, think, dream and desire.

Copies—You should probably save your opening letter. Then, whenever you would like to make contact with a new lady, it will be ready to go. If you are going to send this letter through the postal mail, have it translated into Russian and save the master copy for this as well. In this case I recommend that you send both the English and the Russian version in your first contact.

If you follow these tips and suggestions, you should have a decent rate of response to your initial letters.
